Membership Process
PYC host a Prospective Member Night, this is an excellent way to learn about PYC activities and have all your questions answered as well as complete the application process.
Once the PYC Membership application is completed, return it to the PYC office with the required deposits and supporting information. The application will then be posted in the clubhouse for two weeks prior to the next scheduled monthly Board of Directors meeting. After Board action you will be notified and may begin enjoying your membership in “The South’s Finest Yacht Club”.
Member Class: Voting
Regular Active Members
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Full use of club facilities
- May rent wet slips and dry storage space
- May check out and use club boats
- Reciprocity with other yacht clubs
- Have voting privileges at general member meetings
- May attend open portions of all Directors meetings
- May hold office on the Board of Directors or as Flag Officer
Member Class: Non-voting
Transitional Active Membership
- Must be between the ages of 21 and 39
- Upon reaching the age of 40, automatically convert to
- Regular Active Membership
- Full use of club facilities
- May check out and use club boats
- May rent wet slips and dry storage space
- Reduced dues
- May not vote or hold office on the Board of Directors or as a Flag Officer
Non-Resident Members (Non-Voting)
- Primary residence must be outside a radius of 100 statute miles of PYC
- Must be 21 years of age
- Full use of club facilities
- May rent wet slips and dry storage space
- May check out and use club boats
- May not hold office on the Board of Directors or as a Flag Officer
- Two approved Employee members
- Full use of clubhouse & activities, pool & tennis courts
- May not rent wet slips and dry storage space
- May not check out club boats
- No Reciprocity with other yacht clubs
- May not hold office on the Board of Directors or as a Flag Officer
